I wrote this years ago on facebook– not for thethe. As for poems of the week, I only chose those once and I chose mostly dead poets, or poets no one could link me to as my “poets of the week: Ai, Robert Kelly, etc. etc. I’m not even sure if I agree with what I wrote here anymore, but Micah is right. This is not a poetry journal–it’s a blog. The irony here is, as Micah would tell you, I hardly ever seek to publish my work. I like the blog form. I post stories and poems on facebook because I am upset with the bias of small press mags. Ask Micah: he’ll tell you.

hi menalque–thethe is not a poetry journal. it’s a poetry blog. the goal is not to publish the latest and greatest. nobody is trying to play any monkey dominance games here. it’s a community of friends.

Does anyone else see the irony of this article appearing in one of the only online journals that do not accept open poetry submissions and which only publish friends and significant others as their poem of the week?

As bluntly as this is said, I find this as a breath of fresh air.. this reveals the mistrials, their passion driven journey and the sad state of poets nowadays…
